I recently found my great-great grandparents, John & Eliza Ellen (Taylor) Gahan in Gopher Hill Cemetery in Warren County, Indiana. They were married in Warren County in 1842. John farmed land not far from the Wabash River and came to the the United States from Ireland entering through New York City with his older brother, William. I'm interested in finding where in Ireland they came from. I suspect County Wicklow (Ireland) and possibly near the town of Arklow on the southeast coast. I'm also trying to find Taylor relatives of Eliza Ellen from Warren County, Indiana in hopes they may have traced their ancestors and may know where in Ireland John Gahan came from. John & Ellen are the beginning of our Gahan family in the United States.

The newest addition to the family is our first grandchild, Carolyn Blake Gahan born on July 6, 2000. The first girl in four generations.
