Barbara and Dan currently live in Suwanee, Georgia, but hope to be moving to a new home in Big Canoe, the North Georgia mountains, later this year. Their son, Daniel and wife Ashley, live in Buford Georgia and their daughter, Laura and husband Jeffrey Jividen, have just bought a new home in Alpharetta, Georgia. Dan was born in Alabama and moved throughout the south and east coast as a child. He ended up in New Jersey, where he met Barbara Van Arsdale.
Dan's family hails from Alabama and Tenessee and is of Irish and English decent. This link is currently being investigated, as Dan and Barbara are currently hauling stones from the old homestead (now collapsed) in Tenessee where his mother, Etta Tucker, was born in 1922. She now lives in Decatur Alabama, where she landed with her second husband after moving back to Alabama from New Jersey. Her first husband, Dan's father, died at 45 years of age. She remarried several years later to Edward J. McLaughlin. These stones, and possibly some heavy timbers to be salvaged, will be used in the new Big Canoe home.
Barb's family hails from central New Jersey, primarily Old Bridge, Sayreville and Spotswood and is of Polish and German decent. Barb's mother, Dorathy Malkeweicz from Old Bridge and father, Charles G. Van Arsdale, now live in a log house in Eastern Pennsylvania
