The Charles Galusha family of Nebraska arrived in the 1870 from the state of Wisconsin. Prior to that they came from Shaftsbury, Vermont, where Charles lived with his wife Electa Johnson. His father is assumed to be one of the David Galusha Juniors which has been a mystery for the family historian Janet Helgemoe. The book, GALUSHAS OF NEBRASKA, is being written by Dr. Richard "Dick" Galusha and has data from Daniel 1, through Rick Galusha's twins, Emma and Haimish, from Omaha, NE., born Sept 21, 2001. Research assistance on any Galusha family is offered to all those who contact galusha@cox.net or Dick Galusha. All Galushas in the United States are related to Daniel 1. Our family historian has research to show we arrived from the Isle of Jersey to MASS. after immigrating there from Wales and/or France. Video tapes of the family reunions held in Shaftsbury, VT, and Kearney, NE, are available for a small sum. The first family reunion tape shows Govenor Jonas Galusha's home in Shaftsbury, VT, which is on the historical registry. The GALUSHA NEWSLETTER is available from the family historian Janet Helgemoe for a nominal fee. Look at the GALUSHA FORUM for more information on the Galusha families across the United States.
