I have just started to trace my family line of the Hobgoods. I have found out that my gggrandfather was Reynolds Hobgood and that his wife was Fronia Ann Chandler. They had 4 children-Benjamin Franklin Sr., Robert Edward, Henry, and a daughter Lou who married Ingram Savis. It is believed that Reynolds may have had a son by a previous marriage-Johnny. Johnny was born in Granville County NC, and had a son named Hezzacia?(may not be spelled correctly).My ggrandfatheer was Robert Edward Hobgood and he married Sarah Frances Clayton and they had 9 children-Boyd, Oliver Clay, William Edward, John Franklin, Joel Auther,Alexander, Mary Lou,Marcel Ann and Ollie Mae. Alexander(Alex) was my grandfather and he married Bertie Phillips. They had 13 children, William Ray, Nell, Darrell, Lucille, Mary, Ruby, Rosco, Everett(Jr.), Roy Edward, Betty, Jean, Charles, Frankie. William Ray Hobgood is my father and he married Cora Lee Vincent and they had 9 children-Johnny Ray, Geraldine, Janet, Jo Nell, Robert, Judy, Shelia, Shery(ME), and Terry.
