Updated January 16, 2008
| About Our Family Research |
|
The earliest records of the family roots started with late Sri Pathanjali Iyer of Palamadai (www.palamadai.net), a small picturesque village near Tirunelveli, in Tamil Nadu, India. Then the descendants moved to Nagercoil and later migrated to different parts of Kerala and Tamil Nadu. We belong to the Vadama subsect of Tamil Iyers (Brahmins). Check out the Iyer heritage page at http://www.bharatavarsha.com/iyer.html Our Gotram is Vadhula, which means that we are the descendants of Vadhula Maharishi.
