Clark Ramos Garcia of Houston, Texas

About Our Family Research

My deceased brother, Clark Ramos Garcia, lived his entire life wanting to learn as much information as he could about our ancestors, the land grants they received, and the lives they endured.

King Ferdinand V and Queen Isabella awarded several of my ancestors with land grants to settle in Mexico. Some of our ancestors have been able to keep their land and pass ownership through the families by inheritance. Some Mexican families were forced from their lands by white families claiming our lands by force.

Matias Longoria, an original grantee of Porcion 93 of the Camargo Settlement Land Grantees of 1767, along with his brothers, Vicente and Pedro Longoria, have given us information on their lives and the importance of their association to the crown of Spain.

My brother, Clark, this website has been created for you to fulfill your dreams of learning more about our heritage, our land grants, and to share with others the information we have gained.
