Researching the family of Thomas (Tom) Lee Burruss, of Caroline County, Virginia. Thomas was born 10 June 1862 and died 2 March 1944. Thomas owned over 500 acres of land in Caroline County, VA. Thomas was a farmer and a foreman at Penola Wood Mill in Caroline County. In 1901, he purchased the land and provided the lumber to help build Second Baptist Church, Ruther Glen,(Caroline Co, VA) Thomas' father was Atwell Burruss and his mother was Fannie (Fannie mother was Judy), all were from Caroline County, VA. Thomas married Ida Rebecca Woolfolk on 30 Oct 1884. Ida was born March 1865 and died 5 April 1914. Ida parents were Jourdan Woolfolk and Rebecca Thompson Woolfolk of Caroline County, VA. Thomas and Ida had 17 children named: Ezkiel (Lee), Vernon, Thomas(Tommy), Joseph(Joe), Julian, William(Willie), Marie, Clarence, Ida Dorothy, Lloyd, Thelma, Kermit, Dallas(Curly), Veetta Rebecca, Gladys, Arnold and Revella. Veetta Rebecca Burruss married Phillip Twiggs of Caroline County, VA. (Phillip parents were Wellington (Willie) Alexandra Twiggs and Lucy Gay Terrell Twiggs of Caroline County, VA.) Veetta and Phillip children were: Joseph(Joe), Bertha(Bert), Phillip Jr.(Junie) and Thomas. Bertha(Bert) married Sydney Gifford Garner from Charles County, Southern Maryland. Their three children: Mark, Terry and Troy. Mark's seven children: Markisha, Mark Jr., Samantha, Montay, (Twins Madison and Monique) and Mercedes. Markisha children: Keimara, Kiara, Michael and Mychael. Mark Jr. children: Alexis and Jasmine. Samantha children: Andrea and Andre II. Montay children: Nicholas and Sydney. Terry children: Shamika and Terry Jr. Troy children: ChaToya, Troy Jr., Christine and Vanessa. ChaToya child Michael.
