Descendants of Richard Hay and Mary Bixby Updated May 8, 2002
About Our Family Research
The first of the Hay-Hayes clan of our family to arrive in Canada was Richard Hay and his spouse Mary Bixby-Bigsbay. All our ancestors lived in the province of Quebec until my parents moved to Ontario. My grandfather came to work in Espanola, Ontario in the early 1930's and settled there with his wife. This is where both my parents met for the first time. They had not known each other when their families both lived in Buckingham, Quebec.
The bug for researching my family roots started when my aunt invited me to attend a geneology meeting for which she was secretary. This happened in 1987 and I have been researching ever since.
June 4, 2001.
I have more information. Timothy Hay and Mary Daly were the parents of Richard Hay.
