November 29, 2000. I am just begining my search of my maternal great grandfather and ancestors that emmigrated from England. I know the location of my great-great grandfather Edward Poole and that he was born in 1826 and died October 9th, 1899 at 79 years of age. He resided and died in Ashbourne England. I am extremely interested in finding out what kind of people I came from and to see if I have any relative's unknown to me. My grandfather Edward Jame Poole came out of England with his brother Bertrum Poole in the Second World War. They had two sisters, Edith and Glady's, Edith being the eldest in the family. Gladys resided and died in England in the 1980's. Edith was living in a heavily bombed part of England and was somewhat of a mystery. My grandfather Edward J Poole did not speak of her much and it seemed to the rest of us , she was an outcast from her family. I do know she had two children but I am unaware if she was married or not. To this very day , no one in our family knows if she survived the war or not and if so what happened to her. It peaks my curiousity and I hope to be able to solve some of these questions on my quest to find my ancestors.
