I am a decendant of Adam Anders. My Great-great grandfather was John (Michael Anders)born 1813 in La. but lived in Amite county Mississippi. He married Susie Roberts In 1843. They had many children, mostly girls. Michael had two sons who died before having children? Another son, James Buchanan Anders, was born in 1856/57. The Rev. James B. and Laura Walker Anders had many children, one of whom was my grandfather Willis Burton Anders born 1899. His siblings were Charlie, Ara, Zelma, Ruth, Elizabeth Hanna, Linus, Mike, Nona, Mazie. All were raised in Amite County.
Michael and Suzie are buried at Mt Vernon Methodist Cemetery in Amite County Mississippi. James B's grave was moved from McComb MS last May 2002 and placed next to His wife Laura also at Mt. Vernon. We are having a Family reunion/memorial service in remembrance of his death in 1903 at Mt Vernon Methodist Church in Homochitto community the weekend of April 5-6, 2003.
