Although I have always meant to research my family tree, this is my first attempt! I look forward to learning more about both sides of my family and its history.

I was born in Scarborough, Ontario Canada in 1962, the middle of three children born to Clifford and June (nee Day) Gazey.

My father's parents were from Burmingham England (Harry and Edith (nee Billers) Gazey) and immigrated to Canada after WWII. They lived in different areas of southern Ontario ranging from Shelbourne to Toronto where they lived at the end of their lives.

My mother's family had been in Canada for generations. Her parents, Temple and Jessie (nee Smith) Day lived their lives in the beautiful area of Owen Sound, Ontario. The story is that the Day side of the family can be traced back to Sir John A. McDonald, the first Prime Minister of Canada. I would love to learn if this is the case!
