I have been researching my family tree and one of my branches is the Hamer family. My Great-Grandmother was Anna Hamer and her father George W. Hamer served as a Union soldier in the Civil War. I have gathered information from several "cousins" and with this have been able to trace the family back to Lancaster County in the late 1700's. I hope to go further back someday.
