About Our Family Research


The giffens come from Robert giffen 1760 and Janet Jamieson 1765. Their son, James 1785 b. Kilbarchan, Renfrewshire, Scotland, married Margaret Miller 1785-1846. Descendents are William A. Giffen 1866-1929 m. Alberta Miller. Their sons Ralph and John C. Giffen. John was my father, he m. Lucia Marie Macdonald 1920 in Flint,Michigan. Other MacDonald names are Zuber, Thompson, Barry, Knapman. My name is Lucia Lawrence Giffen Macfarlane.
