I know very little about my family history. My family was broken up when I was a child, and my father disowned by his family. I have very little to go on, and hope that this site will enable me to piece together our herritage. I have heard that our family name of Giltner came from a German girdle company in Germany. I am not sure how the family came to America, and I am unaware of a single significant ancestor. I intend to learn as much as I can. It would be nice to be able to tell my children of their family history. And so the journey begins....
