I am actually researching more names than I could describe in the title. They are on paternal side: Gilchrist, Porter, and Ledbetter. On maternal side they are: Calvert, Boyd, Weaver, King, and Washington. As I go along I find more surnames to be added to the list. It appears so far that all the Gilchrist, Porter, Ledbetter's came out of North Carolina. The Gilchrist and Porter families eventually moved to Columbus, Ohio. The Boyd, Weaver, King's appear to have come from Kentucky. While a Calvert was born in Virginia but moved to Kentucky.
