i have been trying to research my ancestors for abot 6 months. i have found a great deal of info about my great great grandfathers side. the Faulkners from orange and ulster counties new york. i have been able to trace a derect line back to 1731 on the falkner name and back to 1600's England with thelast nameof Bull.i have not had much luck on my mothers maiden name of Newhall, only back to my great grandfather, born 1882, possibly in middletown, ny. and living there in the 1900 census with his mother(no name) and 1 sister and 1 brother.my father is from puerto rico and his family originaly came from Spain, but ido not have any info on them the surnames are Sosa/Fernandez/Ocasio/Morales. other surnames fron my mothers side are Gray Ingrik,Wells.though i presently live in indiana, i hope to go to ny this spring for a few days to look for some info in the library and cemetarys there.
