My research includes 54 surnames to date, some totally ignored at this point.

My maternal grandparents' lines are nicely confined to two German villages in what is now Hungary. My grandmother was born in Hercegfalva in the Fejer district. Surnames include Schneider, Wurst, Link, Scheidle, and Zimmer. My grandfather was born in Bikacs in the Tolna district. Surnames from Bikacs include Gruenwald, Blaser, Szinger, Gross, Schmidt and Lakner.

I'm a total mongrel on my dad's side. I have deep roots in Giles Co., TN and Newberry Co., SC. Several my lines migrated to Newberry Co. from Chester and Bucks Co., PA, NJ and MD. Surnames on my dad's side include Gilbert, Russell, Reed, Cox, Edmundson, Underhill, Duckett, Gauntt, Reagin, Cole, Balch, Basham and Gant.
