The "Herrick" name is on my mothers side of the family. I had started doing research a few years ago by just asking guestions from close family members and going to the Archives and the library in Augusta,Me. But not knowing exactly how to look for information,I wasted a lot of time scanning through books and microfilm and not finding much and what I did find not knowing what to do with it. I have since been on the internet for about 2 years and have learned a little bit more. I did locate a 4th cousin of mine doing genealogy on the same surname so we have been able to exchange info. I had posted a message on GenForum about looking for a "Herrick" member and to my surprise I received a reply. I got so exited to find some one else doing research on my family name and he being related too. I'm tring to branch off onto my grandfathers wifes side but not getting to far. As for My fathers side"Murray" I'm at a brick wall. My grdmother came over from Ireland some time between 1900 and 1907. My grdparents settled in Boston,Ma. and had 7 children . My grdmother died shortly after child birth with complications from the flu.I have been able to obtain copies of their marriage,death and naturalizion papers. This past summer we had a reunion for the Murray cousins . I met some cousins for the first time and it was like we had known each other for years .
