Our family tree traces back to the birth of Tryon Giles in 1807. We know he was born in northern Maine and came to Clinton County, NY around 1828. He was married to Rhoda Shaw around that time and together they had 10 children. It is believed that Tryon's father was named James and he was born around 1785, but there is no documentation or real trail leading to him.
