I have only been searching for a short time. I have traced the crozier side of my family back to ireland 1785, but not much after that.As for the gill side i have hit a brick wall. My great great granfather changed the last name from mcgill [not sure how it was spelled] to gill at least thats what i was told . So not much luck on that side and my grandparents have died so not much to go on.
