My Gillespie research started when I wanted my husband Scott Gillespie and our children to know about their family history. Scott's dad got killed in the line of duty when Scott was only 10 weeks old, leaving him with very little family information. This research has been a long process with roadblocks along the way, but with alot of outside information sent via email. This Gillespie family originated in Ireland and later moved to Glasgow, Scotland. In 1921 Scott's grandfather Robert Gillespie came to the United States and settled in Bedford, Indiana.
