I'm searching for decendants of John H Gary he was born around 1827. He was owned by Dr.John H Gary of Newberry County, SC. He would be my great great grandfather, his son was my great grandfather and my father grandfather. I do know the census of 1880 he was living with his son. My grand mother name was Mattie Gary but she was raised by her great aunt whose name was Ellen Holland. Any information would make me happy. I do know that my grandmother was with her parent up until 1900 then the census show her living with her aunt.
