I started to research our family tree purely by accident.I was recovering from a broken leg due to a horse riding mishap and ,having a lot of time on my hands, decided to look up my sister's website where she had displayed some of her art.I came across the genealogy.com "Shellard forum ",saw a question relating to my family posted by a Jane Powell who I later discovered was my second cousin... and I then became hooked.I dedicate the following history to my extended family and their descendants and I hope they will continue to add information as time passes.
