The earliest ancestor that I have found is John Box. He was born in Kent, England in 1599, and died in 1636 in Warrosquogoake, Isle of Wight, Virginia. His descendent , Edward Box, b.1754 in Laurens Co., South Carolina. Edward was supposedly caputred by indians when only 8 years old. Reportedly he married one, Elizabeth Newton, and they had a daughter, Rebecca Box. She is a documented one half Choctaw.
