He married (2) Elizabeth INGLIS on 02 Apr 1896 in 52 West Nile Street, Glasgow, daughter of James INGLIS and Agnes MATHIESON.

(Research):James, Elizabeth, son John & her stepdaughter (from James' earlier mariage to Catherine Robertson), emigrated to Canada circa 1913. John joined up & got killed in France. Margaret married and went to USA. James & Elizabeth came back to Peebles area circa 1922, possibly because Elizabeth knew she was ill. She died 1924.
