I am searching for the parents of Samuel L. Rolph born 1837 married to Rebecca Riley Trump born 1842. They lived and died in the Church Hill area of Queen Anne Co., Maryland. I have information on Rebecca's family going back several generations. I have not been able to locate information on Samuel's parents.

I am also seach my father's family. My grandfather was William Joseph Goedeke, born in Maryland 1888. His parents were Henry F. Goedeke and Katherine Markert. William was married to Barbara Mackemull whose parents were Frank Mackemull and Mary Ann Stiefel. These families lived in Baltimore City and also in Anne Arundle County Maryland.

Both of my families lived all of their lives in Maryland. Rebecca Trump's family were in the Cecil County area of Maryland (Rising Sun) for many years. I am having a real problem locating information on Samuel's family.

The Goedeke's and Mackemull's were originally from Germany and probably came to America sometime around the 1850s.

Another family name which I am researching is Simmons. My mother's father was Robert Francis Simmons (born 1873 in Baltimore), his father was Frank (Frances) Gibbons Simmons (born 1848 in Baltimore), his father was Richard T. Simmons (born 1827 in London, England). I believe that Richard originally came from London sometime around 1850.
