When my parents died, I inherited a stack of geneology information from them. I recently bought FTM and have just finished adding in the 800+ names I currently have. I would now like to expand the primary branches and try to reach back a little further in time. The earliest ancestor I have is Samuel Gilbert born ca 1761 in VA. Son Benjamin (b. 1791) in VA and moved to eastern KY. His son, Samuel H Gilbert born in KY in 1826. His son, James Marion Gilbert, born 1867 was my g-grandfather. James married Letha Alice Morris in 1888 in McKee KY. Letha's parents were William Morris (1843) and Susan Gabbard (1849). Williams father was Vincent Morris (1816) and mother Jane Sandlin (1820).
I am very new to this game so be gentle with me. I would appreciate any information on these branches as may be available.
