Peckhams in Central New York State

Updated November 30, 2008

About Our Family Research

The PECKHAMS of central NYS descended from an English ancestor who arrived not very many years after the Mayflower. The PECKHAM name is well-known in Massachusetts and Rhode Island, and is included in Mayflower descendant family histories. A Miss Jean PECKHAM married a Delano, and that line eventually led to Franklin Delano Roosevelt. Previous research done by individual lines, including the well-researched book by Stephen Farnham Peckham, have greatly aided current research. Our emphasis now is on establishing and documenting our personal Mayflower descendancy. We hope this web page will assist in that effort.
