Much thanks to my geneaology predecessors, my entire family line Armentrout, My fathers maternal side has been traced from my father, James William Myers Jr. of San Saba County Texas, to their arrival to the US in 17-- On the Ship Samuel from Germany. Johannes Ermantraudt If any one has traced the German ancestry of Johannes Ermandtroudt 1660. I would love to hear from you.
I am very new at this. I have entered some 300 names with very few dates or places to my own search, which I have not placed out there yet, for fear of mis-information. I started at my missing Grandfather, who's name was Herb TURNER. What A NIGHTMARE!!! I still havent gotten any further on him. Herb Turner, b. approx 1900, d. approx.1951, Mother Mary Cain? King?
Herb followed the rodeo, spent some time in Oklahoma. I think his his father was Frank Turner, from Al.? Ak.?
Herb had siblings, Dessie, Ruff, and a half brother, Ike.
I believe my paternal Aunt, has worked the Myers's of San Saba.
I also believe I have a cousin who has researched the Turner's and Davis's.
I have attempted to contact both of them, but have yet to get a reply from either. So until life slows down enough for them to have a chance to get back with me, I guess I'm on my own. JUST LIKE ALL OF YOU HAVE BEEN AT ONE TIME OR ANOTHER.
In case someone out there knows these families here are some names.
James William Myers Sr.*** Cora Mozelle Armentrout San Saba Texas, Resting in Cowboy Cemetary My Paternal Grandparents
My maternal grand parents "Herb" Herbert Louis Turner *** Ava Sue Ellen Davis Coleman County Texas Herb is probably chasing rodeos in the sky! Ava is resting in Abilene Texas Cemetary Perhaps next to her second husband Orville Reed.
Thanks to all of you out there who might know how to help direct my path. And to all of you, best of all in your own searches
