Laurent Desormeaux's Decendants Updated December 19, 2000
About Our Family Research
A great-great granddaughter of Laurent Desormeaux (born approx 1827), I am researching his origins in Quebec, Canada. Our relationship is as follows: Laurent's son, Pierre Desormeaux, is my great-grandfather. Pierre's son, Lucien Desormeau, is my grandfather. Lucien's son, Morris Desormeau, is my father. Pierre left home at St. Jerome, Que at an early age (approx 12)to apprentice to a clothing tailor. As a young teenager, he left Quebec for Western Canada where he married Albina Laroche of Edmonton, Alberta. Pierre lost all contact with his family in Quebec. His children remember him speaking fondly of an older sister who was already married when he left the family in Quebec.
