In the "New World", we see the Cranes in Connecticut, on to New York and Ohio, eventually Wisconsin and Nebraska and eventually in Saskatchewan.
I have been researching for several years. Have published one book on my paternal line - GIROUX. Had left that line aside for a time but back filling in the gaps now that so much information is available online.
Currently, working on the names BOWDITCH (Canada - England), CRANE (USA to 1600s), THOM (Canada, USA, Germany) and WIMMER (USA, Germany).
I am trying to concentrate more on the CRANE line, proving descendancy from two Mayflower lines. My connection now is 1. Joan (Bowditch) Giroux (Sask.) 2. Henry Bowditch (Sask.) 3. Edna Irene Crane (1885 Wisconsin - 1978 Sask.) 4. George Washington Crane, Jr. (1852 Ohio - 1930 Montana) 5. George Washington Crane, Sr. (1818 New York - 1904 Wisconsin) 6. Amza Crane (1791 New York - 1862 Ohio) 7. Zebulon Crane (1746 New York - 1814 New York) 8. Zebulon Crane (1720/21 New York - 1789 New York) 9. Joseph Crane (1696 Connecticut - 1781 Conn.) 10. Jonathan Crane (1658 Conn. - 1734/35 Conn.) 11. Benjamin Crane (1630 England - 1691 Conn.) 12. John Crane? (1594 England - ? Conn.) The GIROUX Family is first seen in Quebec in the 1600's and still in Quebec up until the 1900's when part of one branch moved to Saskatchewan.
