Iam researching the Girod family mainly from Levier and Matha France.Mainly the ancestors of Jean Joseph Victor Girod (1780-1840 Levier). He married Jeanne Dennise Ferreux (aprx. 1803 Levier). His son Jean Felix (1806 Levier-1869 Matha), married (1831 Matha) Catherine Denis(1810 Matha-1883 Matha). The childrens of this marriage are: Ernest,Othilie b.1840, Ulises b.1848, Lascaris-Auguste Phelis b.1835 and Palmira b. 1833, all except Othilie and Ulyses were born in Matha; Ernest, was probably born in Levier or Boisse Charente Maritime) or even Matha in 1844. Ernest moved to Puerto Rico were he married Josefina Lube (aprox. 1885) and died in 1911 in Guayama Puerto Rico. Ernest became the originator of the Girod family in Puerto Rico, and is my great grandfather.
