There are only a few "Glantes" in Germany (recently less than 20 families now living in the federal country Brandenburg, in Hamburg and Gera (Thuringia)). My family came from Jessnitz (Saxonia Anhalt) and my parents settled in Frankfurt at the Oder. It was told to me, that my family originally came from France (Hugenottes). Related families are Krüger, Wegner, Bandlow, Fromm, Fischer (from the Brüdergemeine Herrnhut).
