Looking For the Rest of My Family

Updated February 3, 2006

About Our Family Research

I know nothing about the Sisk side of my family. My grandmother died, 1974, when I was five. My parents divorced when I was 12. My father became estranged from his father and sister shortly after my grandmother passed and then his children after his and my mother's divorce. I did not have contact with my grandfather again until I was 18 years old. By this time, he was very ill and unable to comprehend much of anything I said. He passed away three years later in 1991. My grandmother was adopted and had a sister though I know nothing about her family either. I have an Aunt, Uncle and three female cousins that I communicate with. I do not know any Great Aunts or Uncles or other distant relatives. I have a very close and loving family on my mother's side. I did not notice the pieces of me that were missing until my oldest son was diagnosed with a genetic disease. It was during this time I put aside the anger I felt toward my father and began to feel the holes in my life. I would love to find this part of my family and reunite. I have a wonderful husband who is in the Active Army and three beautiful children. We are currently stationed in Fort Polk, Louisiana.
