I started this research shortly after my Dad passed away in 1997. I was surprised to find out how much I learned. It is sad to think that so much of my rich family history was not known to me. It is also sad to think that many of these things my Dad never even knew. The previous generations either didn't think it was necessary to pass these stories down or many were just to painful to talk about. I hope anyone who comes across this page might be helped on THEIR journey to discover the past.

  My Grandpa Rosco Gregory(first one on the left)was the thirteenth child born to Sam Gregory and Louisa Collins. Their first child was a girl who died at birth.Two sons died in infancy. They raised ten sons to adulthood one son(Zeke)was shot and killed at the age of 22.This photo was taken in the late 1940's or early 1950's.
