I have started digging into our past and have some old (1909) hand-drawn postcards from Chrome, New Jersey.
We know that the Mckniffs came to England from Ireland, Co. Sligo?, they walked from Liverpool to Keighley via Ilkley Moor where they had a baby which was born in a large house called Middleton Hall. The owners took them in and looked after them until they left for Keighley.
One part of the Mckniff family went to USA, Forge village, where a Bradford mill opened a factory there.
Any help would be much appreciated!!!
