Most of my information has come from pouring over family records and US Census records for TN, along with Court documents, marriage and death certificates and family Bibles. The Keathley information came from someone doing research along that line, and sadly, I have forgotten her name. Some information from Rev. Jerry Woods and much came from Phil L. Glisson, a long time researcher in the Glisson line.
Several courthouses in West TN burned down before the records contained within were committed to other safe places of storage.
The story passed down by the family was that 5 Glisson brothers came into West TN from N. Carolina long ago and split up at that point with one going to Mississippi, one staying in TN (Abraham, Daniel, Barbra and Harriett Glisson were the children of the one who stayed in TN), and the other 3 traveling to parts unknown to me. This may all be folklore since I have yet to prove anything.
