Most of what I say hear has been passed on by relatives. The authenticity is certainly dubious in many cases and clouded by failing memories. My grandfather, John, was a telegrapher and raised 2 daughters and 3 sons - Emily, Katherine, Francis, Robert and Laurence (Laurence was born in 1915). They were schooled in Everett, Mass. Francis and Laurence both married and moved to Maine where they established roots that still remain there. Laurence is survived by 1 daughter and 2 sons, Laurel Joan Goodwin, Leland James and Laurence John, all 3 of whom reside in the central-southern Maine area. (More to be added later)
