The Goakes family is a small one when compared to the "Jones'", but we have a very colourful history and we're spread out on almost every continent.
Our forebears left their British Isle (which we think is either Ireland or England), and spread out to the United States, Canada, Australia, Zimbabwe, South Africa and Europe.
Eventhough there are very few of us around, we have some distinct features which are distinct in both the American Goakes family and the South African Goakes family. We share the same noses and dimpled chins. We are traditionally a Christian family and we still celebrate our religion faithfully.
We would love to meet more Goakes'!
