I am looking for more information on my ancestors and extended family. There is a book that was written by a distant relative that was passed on to my father and his siblings by my grandmother. After both grandparents died, my father and mother passed their copy on to me. The last entry for my family was my great-great grandfather, on my fathers side. From there the family tree stopped for our family but continued on with different lines. I have been having quite a time trying to locate more info. The earliest information was found in 1773. My family originated in Offenbach in the duchy of Zweibruecken Germany. The earliest person in this book would be HANS (JOHANN) JACOB GABEL. Our spelling of our name has changed from GABEL to any one of these forms: GOBBLE,GABLE,GOBLE or even GOBEL. The latest information I have is that of my great-great Grandfather. His name was REX LEE GOBBLE I and his wife was MOLLIE BLOOMER. They had 3 kids REX LEE II, CHARLDENE, and DOROTHY.
