My family research into my father's family, my FILLIUS ancestors, has been a slow and somewhat frustrating search. This line includes the FILLIUS line and the SHINN line in NJ and PA. Also WARWICK line in NJ. I am especially looking for information on Joseph FILLIUS from Phila during the Civil War era who fought with 114th PA Volunteers and any records of FILLIUS in Phila area. Also would like to connect William SHINN my ggrandfather from Medford, NJ with the SHINN line in the Burlington and Monmouth County NJ areas, which is recorded in the SHINN book and descends from John Shinn (Sheen) from England.
My research into my mother's family, my BORDEN and IVINS ancestors, has been much more fruitful. These two maternal family lines include many families in NJ which go back to New England and most of which go back to England prior to that, including TILTON, SLEEPER, ALLEN, HOWLAND, RICKEY, DECOU and many others.
