I have been collecting information about the hammontrees of blount co. tn. and walker co. ga. trying to go back as far as i can. also the hayes, williams, skippers, and fieldings. the williams are mostly from walker co. ga. skippers from south pittsburgh, tn. i'm not sure about the fieldings. i would like to find who edward jackson hammontrees father was. also any brothers and sisters. my father's aunt on his mothers (caroline williams-maiden name-dont know married name) wrote a journal before she died about growing up in Rock springs, Ga. in the Peavine area. it is very interesting. she talks a lot about her cousins who were mostly skippers and williams. i would like to share this with any who might be related and interested. also have picture of melvin and elizabeth hayes family taken approximately 1900. also have photo taken around 1915 of a reunion of the hammontrees and hayes. there are 65 people with all names listed. these people have other last names such as gray, houston, sheram, cleghorn, and keown.
