About Our Family Research

Deborah Golding is the eldest of 3 children - Deborah 1966, Nicole 1970, Christopher 1971, to parents Brian & Marlene (nee O'Shea) Golding.

Brian is the youngest of 5 children, Betty (3 children- Roberts), Leslie(2 children) , Kevin (3 children), Brendan (4 children)& Brian, to Tom and Mary (Molly)(nee Barnes) Golding.

Tom's sibling is Mabel.

Molly's is the youngest of 7 chilren, Walter, Nellie, Magaret(4 children- Smith), Thomas (1 child), Anne (2 children), Henry ( 1 adopted daughter) and Mary to Henry Barnes. Their mother died at an early age and her maiden name was Kennedy. Henry had a brother George - there may have been more siblings?? The mother had a brother Peter Kennedy - there also may have been more siblings??? There mother's maiden name was Quinlan, I think.

Marlene is the youngest of 11 children, ??, Val(2 children - Prentice), Ron (4 children), Brian (12/13 children), Beryl ( 7 children -Cridland), Vera (1 child adopted name is Brunsma), Jim,??, Don (4 children), Faye ( 4 children- Mercica) and Marlene to ? an Irene(nee Forde/Ford) O'shea. The two ?? died, one as an infant and the other at 6 years of age
Marlene's father was an orphan, however we are aware that he had quite a few brothers. There is conjecture that he added to O to O'Shea.
Irene O'Shea came from Geelong.
