The research for the Gores and Parkers was done by Donna Renee Carter. It goes back to 1790. I am starting research on the family of Louise Edmonson (my grandmother). I will attempt get in touch with Donna Parker to see if she has any advice from her own research and where to start.
My grandmother, Louise Gore, was born in Little Rock Arkansas. I believe my great grandmother (Maevella Scruggs) or grt. grandfather (Frank Edmonson)was born somewhere in Arkansas, also. My mother found a 1920-something census which listed both grt. grandparents as well as their children living in Chicago.
