Margaret Dunleavy (daughter of Patrick Dunleavy and Ann Deacy) was born 24 December 1884 in Bohola, Co.Mayo, and died 1 March 1965 in South Ozone Park, Queens County, N.Y.. She married John Gordon on October 1920 in New York City, N.Y., son of Tim Gordon and Honor Dunlevy.
Notes for Margaret Dunleavy: From Mary's family notes.At time of Margaret's birth conditions in Ireland were very difficult and it was impossible for her mother to care for Michael and Margaret and tend the farm. As a result Margaret was sent to Aunt Mary Deacy to be raised.She remained with this family until she was a teenager .Her childhood with Aunt Mary must have been a happy one because shhe never expressed any resentment to her own children about her childhood.
