GENEALOGIA

Carl Jung

GENEALOGY

To think that the man was born without a history inside of itself own it is a disease. It is quite abnormal, because the man was not born of the night for the day. He was born in a specific historical context, with specific historical qualities and, therefore, it is only complete when he has relationships with those things. If an individual grows without connection with the past, it is as if he had been born without eyes nor ears and he tried to notice the external world with accuracy. It is the same as to mutilate him.
Carl Jung
