A record of the marriage was discovered by Uncle Rufus in the Historical Society of Lancaster Co. PA, 307 N. Duke St. This was the first marriage of a Zartman in North America. Uncle Rufus says "What thrills and pangs of joy come from genealogical research--as in hunting, finding, and bagging game!"
If Jacob was 21 at the time of his marriage, he was born in 1723, which would make him 5 years old when the family made the voyage toAmerica.
