Adam Axline, a yeoman, resided in Colerain Twp. His will was dated October ?, 1818 and probated June 26, 1818. Mentions his son Henry and 191 acres that Henry now occupies, as well as 2 acres in the possession of Henry Peltz which Adam Axline conveyed to his son on April 18, 1814. Other named persons include his son Bernard and the tract he occupies, son John and land he occupies that was surveyed years ago by Matthew Taylor, son Solomon(80 lbs), and his five daughters Christina (married to John Axline), Catharine(married to Daniel Shoemaker), Sophia (married to John May), Elizabeth (married to Jacob Shoemaker), and Mary (married to John Rymond). The executors were Henry Axline and Michael Ott. Witnessed by Robert Shannon and William Rynolds.
CODICIL: Dated December 10, 1817. States that if there are any objections by any of the devisees, they are not to receive any more of his estate. Also states that his sons Henry, Barnard, and John are to pay the amount of their bonds dated April 18, 1814. Witnessed by William Reynolds.
