Notes for William Henry Exline: Federal Census varies slightly from year to year as is often seen, however the 1900 census is much more different. It lists the place of birth for Sarah as West Virginia, instead of Virginia. Most importantly it shows month and year of birth for all members of the family. This is a small problem because it shows year of birth of 1850 for Sarah. This cannot be correct, since ALice was born in 1861. Other census records place the birth year around 1842. Judging by the scratch outs and other errors seen on the original census sheet, I'll chalk this issues up as being due to a poor census taker.
