My family has been scattered since four members emigrated to the States about 1923 and there was not much contact with those who stayed in Quebec. There never was any family reunion with our Canadian relatives. However, two who moved to the States visited regularly. It was difficult finding information on the family, but I managed through the Internet to get in touch with people who have records, especially in the archives. I have birth certificates and marriage records of many. I traced my family to Charles Garnier dit Grenier who came to Quebec from Calvados, Normandy, France about 1660.
